A programme for vaginismus, at your own pace

Created by a sex therapist and clinical psychologist

Vaginismus is an involuntary tightening of the muscles around the vagina when penetration is expected, and the fear grows with each attempt. This programme works with that cycle step by step.

First a free 3–4 minute assessment, then a plan ordered for you.

If one of these sentences is yours

  • "We've tried; it doesn't work. My body closes on its own and I don't know why."
  • "The wedding is coming up and I can't talk to anyone about this."
  • "I had an exam, they said nothing is medically wrong — but the fear is still there."

Sentences we hear often; not user reviews.

What is inside

Vaginismus has its own 7-session section; a second 6-session section on painful intercourse completes it. The assessment orders these two, and the rest of the 23-module programme, for you.

Topics covered in this section

  • Understanding vaginismus anew

Seeing the contraction as a reflex — not a matter of character or "skill".

  • Pelvic release training

Noticing the pelvic floor and learning to let go; short daily practices.

  • Breaking the fear cycle

Seeing how anticipatory anxiety locks the body, and stepping into that loop.

  • Graduated practice

Moving in steps you set yourself, without forcing; the right to stop is yours at every step.

  • Involving a partner

When, how and within which limits; there is a separate guide for partners.

  • Vaginismus, or something else?

When more support is needed: which signs call for a doctor, which for a pelvic physiotherapist.

How it works

  1. Assessment (3–4 minutes, free)

The questions adapt to your answers. No sign-up is needed; you only create an account if you want to keep the result.

  2. A plan ordered for you

The plan always opens with foundation sessions, because the vaginismus exercises build on breathing, relaxation and body awareness. If vaginismus is in front for you, its programme sits within the first three steps.

  3. On any device

The same account works on your phone and in the browser. You continue where you left off; progress stays with you only.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it free?

The assessment and the plan are free. Sessions open with a Sexual Wellness subscription; current options are on the pricing page.

Can anyone see it?

No. Your answers and progress are kept in your account only and are never shared. You can delete your account completely at any time.

Both. You use your Sexual Wellness account in the web app and in the Sexual Wellness app downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. This account is separate from your Apple or Google store account.
