Your relationship after the baby: a programme for finding each other again

Created by a couples therapist and clinical psychologist

You are two parents now; conversations are about feeds and sleep, and by evening you are both spent. The relationship-after-baby programme works on being a couple again in short sessions that fit tired days.

First a free 4–5 minute assessment, then a 12‑step plan ordered for you.

If one of these sentences is yours

  • "We're two parents now, not a couple; our conversations are feeds and nap times."
  • "I think of everything, they 'help' — even the word help makes me angry."
  • "I miss them, but by evening we're both empty."

Sentences we hear often; not user reviews.

What is inside

The couple after baby is a 5-session module; parenting and being a couple (10), roles and emotional labour (5) and work-life balance (10) complete it. The assessment orders these, and the rest of the 37-module programme, for you.

Topics covered in this section

  • The identity earthquake

Where "I" and "we" go while becoming parents; why a sense of loss is normal.

  • The invisible load

Making emotional labour visible: who thinks of what, who remembers what; the fair-share conversation.

  • How parenting affects the relationship

The difference between being a team and being a couple; conflict in front of the child.

  • Time: the language of the relationship

Ten minutes of couple time; a protected small moment rather than a grand date.

  • Returning to intimacy

A gradual, pressure-free return to touch and desire; "not yet" is always allowed.

  • Couple sessions

You each answer on your own phone; answers open together only once both of you have written.

How it works

  1. Relationship assessment (4–5 minutes, free)

25–30 questions that adapt to your answers. No sign-up needed.

  2. A twelve-step plan

If parenting is in front, it sits within the first three steps; if arguments are wearing you down, the plan opens by calming them first.

  3. Two phones, one subscription

You invite your partner; the same subscription opens for both of you. The same account continues in the browser.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it free?

The assessment and your suggested plan are free. Subscription content requires a paid Couples Wellness subscription, which also covers your linked partner. Sexual Wellness is a separate app with a separate account and subscription. See the pricing page for current options.

We have no time; how long is a session?

Sessions take a few minutes and can be split; you continue where you left off. The programme was designed for this period.

Can I do it alone?

Yes. The identity and emotional labour sessions are single-person; your partner joins later by invitation.

Will my partner see my answers?

Your assessment answers are yours only. In couple sessions, answers open together only after both of you have written; nothing is visible one-sidedly.
